IN THE Saturday Stableford Competition at Oake Manor Golf Club, Gary Tillett was the outstanding winner of the competition and division one with an excellent score of 45 points. Club Captain Richard Goodman came second with 42 points while William Chinn was third with 41 points.

Ashley Evans won division two with 44 points while Phillip Marsh was second with 41 points and James Thomas came third with 39 points.

Mathew Durban won the Sunday Stableford Competition with 41 points, while the next three players all scored 40 points, but on count back Simon Greaves came second with Paul Munday in third place.

Suzanne Ward won the Ladies Sunday Medal Competition scoring a nett 71 while Patricia Frazer was in second place with a nett 72 and Nancy Marshall was in third spot, also with a nett 72.

In the Ladies Tuesday Stableford competition Suzanne Ward was again triumphant, winning division one with a score of 35 points while Nancy Marshall came second with 34 points and Jane Clist was third with 33 points. Pepita Verge won division 2 with a score of 36 points, the best of the day, while Julie Cross came second with 32 points and Pat Snelling was third, also with 32 points.

Meanwhile, the Seniors Section played a Stableford Competition for the Grandad’s Cup. Peter Taylor won the trophy after bonus points were awarded for the number of grandchildren he had!

Actual scores in division one were first Stephen Wilcox with 38 points, John Beer was second with 37 points, Michael Bright was third, also with 37 points, and fourth Peter Taylor with 36 points. Trevor Cook won division 2 with 33 points while Mike Sheppard came second with 32 points and Patrick Francis was third with 31 points.
