WEMBDON’S bid to pull off a treble in the Centregreat Taunton & District Saturday Football League has been foiled by Galmington who beat them 4-1 in the final of the Rowbarton Charity Cup on Taunton Town’s ground.

Galmington ended their season in the Premier Division by beating Wyvern United 4-2 away to finish in third spot.

Wembdon won the Premier Division title by a ten point margin from runners-up Porlock and beat North Curry in the final of the League KO Cup.

Racehorse Rovers won the first division, finishing five points clear of runners-up Nether Stowey, while Galmington Reserves were winners of the second division after finishing three points clear of Dunwear United Reserves who finished in second place.

Wellington A and Wyvern finished in the bottom two positions in the Premier Division, while Old Inn 98 Norton Fitzwarren came ninth and tenth in the first division.

A total of 31 teams competed in the three divisions.
