JOE Conway, manager of Wellington Sunday side Moortown who play in the Somerset League, has dismissed rumours the club will be folding at the end of the season.
Conway said this week: "We want to continue. We have to reshape - when you are losing, some players lose interest.
"We had to call off our last match recently - on Mother's Day - because we literally couldn't raise a side. Normally we don't play on that day. There were a number of players unavailable that day.
"We need to get this season over - and we will bring in some fresh young talent for next season. The town is full of good, young players."
Meanwhile, Moortown will be back in action on Sunday, April 13, when they play at home to Mariners in the first division on Court Fields' all-weather pitch, with a 10.45a.m. kick-off.
The Wellington side are lying fifth in the table, with their league programme almost over.
Mariners suffered a 1-0 home defeat by AFC Dunster in their latest match in the first division over the past weekend.
Meanwhile, Trinity Rangers reached the semi-finals of the Gardner Cup with a 3-2 win over Butlins Butlins at the Blackbrook Leisure Centre.
Their opponents in the final will be Wyvern Wanderers who were 6-3 winners over Black Swan in the other semi-final which was played at Priorswood Playing Field.
There were three matches played in the Mike Stewart Cup with Carhampton Rovers winning 5-1 at home against Northwalls United, Terry's Titans beat Hinton St George 2-1 while Williton Sunday won 4-1 against St Berthevin.
AFC Dunster play at home to Hulan in the semi-finals of the Jim Jowett Cup this Sunday, April 13, while Wyvern Wanderers are home to PSV psv in the other semi-final.
