MINEHEAD will be looking to end a run of six successive losses when they play away to Ashcott in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League on Saturday, May 3.
It has left them lying tenth in the table, having been challenging the top teams earlier in the season.
“One of my aims this season was to give as many players as possible a chance in the first team,” said Minehead boss Craig Carr. “Unfortunately, we have been unlucky with injuries and players being unavailable. This has made it very difficult to field a settled side and, of course, results have suffered.”
Ashcott, who have won only eight of their 29 matches, are lying third from bottom and must beat Minehead if they are to stand any chance of avoiding relegation.
Minehead go into Saturday’s game with two more league games to play - away to Clutton on May 5 and home to Keynsham Town Reserves (May 10).
