MINEHEAD Reserves pulled off their first win of the season in the Premier Division of the Centregreat Taunton & District Saturday Football League when they beat Dunwear United 4-2 away.

Young Haiden Griffiths was the star, hitting a hat-trick while Minehead’s other goal was netted by Luke Batts.

The result enabled Minehead to move off the bottom which is now occupied by Racehorse Rovers who won the first division last season.

The early leaders of the division are newcomers Taunton Town Reserves who have seven points from their opening three matches after beating North Petherton 4-1 at home in their latest game.

League results - Division One: Dunwear United 2, Minehead Reserves 4; Nether Stowey 1, Galmington 5; Taunton Town Reserves 4, North Petherton 1. Division One: Wellington A 4, North Curry 9.

Minehead Reserves are home to Staplegrove Reserves in the Premier Division this coming weekend (2p.m.) while Porlock are away to Racehorse Rovers.
