FOR Minehead Under 16s girls football team, Dan Haran has not only taught the skills of the game, but he has also been a coach who has inspired, encouraged and shaped the people they have become - both on and off the field. From starting as a school team of Under 12s in 2019, to twice league champions at the age of 16, Dan has been with the girls every step of the way.

Through every training session, every hard-fought game and every lesson learned in victory and defeat, Dan has been the team’s biggest supporter. He is more than just a coach; he is a mentor and role model. Dan’s unwavering belief in the girls has made them feel like they could achieve anything. That kind of faith changes them, makes them want to push harder and has inspired them to step into senior football. Seventy-two games played, 62 wins and 48 clean sheets – what an unbelievable journey.
