RYAN Searle went out of the World Matchplay darts tournament when he lost 11-8 to the number six seed James Wade in Round Two at the Winter Gardens this evening (Wed, July 22).

Searle, who began playing darts in the Wellington League before going on to play professionally, was never in front although he got to 5-5.

But Wade never allowed his opponent, seeded 11, to get back into the match and went on to reach the quarter-finals.
