WIVELISCOMBE will be looking for a return to winning form when they play at home to Chard 2nd XI in Division Three of the Somerset Cricket League on Saturday, June 27.

The West Somerset side suffered a disappointing 137-run loss away against Middlezoy last weekend, being bowled out for 72 when chasing their rivals’ 209 all out.

It means Wiveliscombe now trail leaders North Curry by 62 points, having dropped to fifth in the table after playing eight matches.

Chard are in third spot, having beaten Taunton Deane 3rd XI by eight wickets last weekend to chalk up their fourth success of the season.

North Curry, who have a one-point lead over second-placed Shaftsbury Road at the top, will be chasing their seventh win of the season when they entertain Taunton side Bishops Hull.

Shaftsbury Road also have a home fixture - against Frome 2nd XI who are lying seventh in the table.
