MINEHEAD Cricket Club have held their annual Junior Section presentation evening at the clubhouse which was very well attended by the families of all the age groups.
From the Allstars to the Under 15s this was a great fun evening with games, awards and finishing off with a BBQ.

On an occasion like this it was great to see so many of the next generation of Minehead CC players all enjoying themselves.
Congratulations go to all of the winners of the various awards. However, they are all winners, gaining in confidence, strength and commitment to the game as the season unfolded, so very well done to everyone;, you all played your part.
The award winners are as follows: U11s – Player’s player – Sam Blackmore; Best improved player – Jayden Cornish; Coaches player – Laurie Dyer.
U13’s - Player’s player – Oliver Bishop; Best improved player – Seb Impey; Coaches player – Heath Legrove.
U15’s -Player’s Player – Harry Pursey; Best improved player – Harry Milton; Coaches Player – Logan Harrison.
The Minehead club’s Junior Chairman Harry Tudball thanked everyone who had been involved with the teams from parents/carers to all the coaches, managers, scorers, groundsmen, the junior committee and to Mike Kelly, who cooked the BBQ.
Harry said: “As chairman, I am incredibly proud of what we are building here at Minehead Cricket Club. Participation continues to grow, and we remain committed to providing a fun, safe and welcoming environment where every child has the opportunity to develop and enjoy the game.”
The chairman went on: “Looking ahead, planning for next season is already underway. We will once again be holding winter training to continue developing our players, and we hope to build on the strong foundations we have created this year. We are also continuing to develop new opportunities within the club.”
