CUTCOMBE Cricket Club this week issued an appeal for more players. as retirements and players moving away have left them perilously close to folding.

The long standing club, formed in 1888 will play in Division Three of the.West Somerset Cricket League in the coming season.

They have a new state of the art bowling machine, new pitch preparation equipment and a good clubhouse and bar, and are applying to Sport England for grant funding for a new modern clubhouse, fundraising £100,000 to held achieve it.

Match fees are £5 per game and annual subs £20.
