MEMBERS of Minehead Bowling Club are pictured on their annual bowls holiday, when they at Bere Regis Golf and Country Club in Dorset for five days.

They played at least one game every day, taking on Bere Regis and Purnell, a visiting team who were staying at the resort at the same time, and they also travelled to Dolphin Indoor Bowls Club at Poole, where a shortage of players on the Poole side meant several Minehead members had to play against each other on some rinks.

As well as enjoying the facilities at the resort, some ventured into Poole and others took a walk along the promenade at Swanage or visited the mearby tank museum during their time off from bowling.

Anyone interested in trying bowls should contact Ray Brooker on 01643 709913 or Rob Clavey on 01643 704435 for a friendly look around.
