DAN Bowditch will be Minehead’s new captain in the 2024 season when they start their campaign in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier League next summer.
All three of Minehead’s teams enjoyed success in 2023. After winning promotion the first team are back in the WEPL structure, where they will no doubt be looking to continue their upward climb.
Bowditch, who is a long time Minehead player, has come up through the age groups, and was appointed into the top job at the club’s recent annual meeting.
To support him at the helm Chris James was appointed as first team vice captain, Andy Stevens continues in charge of the second team while Ian Goodrum stays as skipper of the third team.
Minehead stalwart Ivan Jones, who first played for the club over 50 years ago, was appointed as the club’s new president taking over from Carol Matravers.
