Team Bath Buccaneers D 2 Minehead 0

MINEHEAD suffered a blow to their title aspirations after falling to a 2-0 defeat away to fourth-placed Bath Buccaneers D on Saturday.

In a close-fought encounter, a goal in each half was enough for the home side as Minehead were left to rue a lack of cutting edge in the final third, failing to score for the second successive game.

It doesn’t get any easier for the seasiders as they take on Central Division Two leaders Westbury A this weekend.

The Inspired Partnership man of the match was Nick Jones.

Minehead A 0

Taunton Civil Service 4

Minehead A suffered a 4-0 defeat at home to local rivals Taunton Civil Service.

The ruthless visitors were clinical in front of goal and that was the major difference between the two sides in what was otherwise a fairly even encounter.

Minehead dropped to eighth in South East Division One.

Minehead B 2

Minehead B hosted top of the table North Devon A in South East Division Two and despite a gutsy performance came out on the wrong side of a 6-2 scoreline.

They were under pressure from the off but took an unexpected lead against the run of play, Ryan Dean continuing his fine run of form with a well-worked breakaway goal.

The league leaders continued to knock on door with a succession of short corners and in a devastating five-minute spell scored three unanswered goals.

Steve Hadley reduced the deficit to 3-2 but a further three North Devon goals secured a deserved 6-2 victory.

The Inspired Partnership man of the match was Tom Moody.
