ALCOMBE Rovers' hopes of promotion in the second division of the Taunton Saturday Football League suffered a blow when they slumped 2-0 away to rivals Wellington Reds.
Reds, who scored their goals in the second half through Jack Lewis and Ben Evett, have a one-point lead at the top of the table over former pacemakers Dunwear United who won 4-2 away to Porlock Reserves.
Alcombe, who have slipped to fourth in the table, are home to Nether Stowey on Saturday. Rovers still have seven more games to play.
