GORDANO'S pack was the telling factor as Wiveliscombe lost 17-0 in their Somerset Cup match.
Wivey's set piece possession was always disrupted while Gordano's was well controlled.
To Wivey's credit they limited Gordano to one try, scored by their hooker from one of many well-controlled mauls, and scrum-half Keith Leaker kicked a penalty to give the home side an eight point lead.
Wivey had their chances, mainly through wingers Danny Gray and Mark Priest, who both were close to scoring tries.
Wivey's no nonsence defence also pressured Gordano into handling errors and penalty infringements, but Gareth Bellamy had an off day with his kicking.
Gordano skipper Keith Leaker converted three second half penalties to put the game beyond Wivey's reach.

Wivey III tries were scored by captain Pete Thompson and Joe Ward with Andy Ware converting one as they lost 37-12 to Tor III.
