SIR — I am sure Arthur Phillips will not mind me adding to his pertinent and timely letter (Free Press July 29) concerning the woeful performance of West Somerset District Council and its consultants over the new offices project. This concerns his apt description of the roll of consultants, which could be modified to be particularly specific to Minehead's status as a seaside town. Those employed by our council are known as 'seagull consultants' - they fly in, deposit a load of c*** and then fly out again, leaving others to clean up the mess.
