A NEW climbing track may be installed in Washford Recreation Ground in a planned revamp by Old Cleeve Parish Council.

Councillors are considering buying the equipment, which offers fun, physical activity, and adventure for a wide age range of children, because an existing multiplay tower has reached the end of its life.

They said families who wanted to see the climbing track should show their support on social media to help strengthen the case when applying for external funding.

The old multiplay tower was taped off for safety reasons to prevent it being used, and would be removed.

Other equipment, including another play tower with a slide for younger children, could also be installed as councillors were committed to improving the play area.
