During the pandemic Minehead URC was active reviewing how it could develop its premises to better serve the community.
"The cessation of activities at Bancks Street during lockdown gave us an opportunity to make a fresh start when restrictions eased," said minister Revd Viv Henderson.
"Getting back together in a safe place to reconnect was a priority, so we met in members’ gardens and in Blenheim Gardens before returning to the building.
"We now have a weekly coffee morning on Wednesday, 10.30am-noon. We recognised that we had missed the face-to-face contact over drinks and home-made cake, and thought others may have done so, too.
"Meanwhile, the worship area has also had a makeover. Projection equipment and wi-fi has been installed. The restrictions about singing plus the lack of a musician to accompany worship on Sunday at 10.30am encouraged us to use a wide variety of recorded music instead.
"We have welcomed approaches from community groups to use our hall for exercise classes and meetings."
