Today is Exmoor Day, a celebration of all that is good about Exmoor, one of the smallest but most diverse National Parks in the country. Here are ten ways to celebrate...

To celebrate the anniversary of Exmoor’s designation as a National Park, on 19 October, 68 years ago, the National Park Authority and Visit Exmoor have teamed up to provide 10 top ways to enjoy and celebrate Exmoor:

  1. Take a walk – Whether you wish to undertake an easy Explorer Walk or follow in the footsteps of the Romantic posts on a multiday trek visit www.emorwalks.org for ideas and inspiration, including films of our Explorer Walks and Dark Sky Discovery Trail if you can’t get out on to Exmoor yourself.
  2. Eat Exmoor - The landscape of Exmoor provides some great culinary delights, and many of them are available to order online, as well as in local shops and restaurants. See www.visit-exmoor.co.uk/food-and-drink-exmoor
  3. Share Exmoor – Use social media to share your favourite pictures and stories of Exmoor to inspire others and follow #ExmoorDay to see what others have shared.
  4. CareMoor – Why not help to Keep Exmoor Special? For example, you could dedicate a tree, donate a gate or support new wildflower meadows on Exmoor - www.exmoor-naionalpark.gov.uk/caremoor
