SIR — In response to letters in the Free Press of January 20 and 27 I am in total agreement with your readers regarding dog fouling and dumping rubbish.
We love walking on Doniford Beach, this includes seeing the joyful antics of dogs, but are appalled and disgusted at the number of dog owners who think the beach is a dogs' toilet.
They make no effort to clear up after their pets.
Last summer a family were enjoying a picnic on the beach when a man arrived with his dogs.
One of them immediately squatted down a metre from the little boy who was eating a sandwich and did a huge pile.
The owner did nothing, just walked away!
What is the matter with these irresponsible, dirty people who think it is okay to let their dogs defecate as and where or to dump their rubbish for someone else to clear up.
I count myself very lucky to live in such a lovely place in England but this does anger and disappoint me.
