MORE than 400 proud parents watched keen young athletes from Knights Templar First School, in Watchet, compete in a wide variety of races during the school's annual sports day. The day was split in two, with separate events for the younger key stage one children and the older key stage two pupils. All the key stage one races were based around a summer theme, ranging from a day at the seaside where youngsters had to grab their beach towels and sunglasses to the all aboard the train race where child had to run along the track clutching a newspaper, driver's hat and guard's flag. For the older children there was a more traditional theme to the day.
