DOG LOVERS in West Somerset are invited to take part in the ‘Big Walk’ which is taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, May 6.

The walk, which is hosted by dogs charity The Cinnamon Trust, will start in Minehead at the Jubilee Cafe, Esplanade, from 9:30am. The route will take walkers along along the beachfront to Minehead Golf Club before returning to the Jubilee Cafe.

The Cinnamon Trust is inviting everyone in the community to support the cause, and participants are invited to bring along their dogs.

There will be a dog-themed bring and buy sale on the day to help boost proceeds. The trust is accepting donations from anyone who has dog-themed items, which can be donated by contacting Karen on 07896 259462.

An impressive 730 people and 300 dogs took part last year. The Minehead walk raised £300 on the day, which helped the charity continue to support its service users.

This is the second annual walk event held by the trust, following the success of last year’s event which was organised in celebration of King Charles III’s coronation.

The Cinnamon Trust is the only specialist charity dedicated to alleviating the challenges faced by older people and the terminally ill in caring for their pets.

People who would like a Cinnamon Trust goody bag are advised to register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.  For more information contact the team via email [email protected], by telephone on 01736 758701, or by visiting the website: https://cinnamon.org.uk/thebigwalk/
