WIVELISCOMBE remain rooted to the foot of Division Two after losing 5-2 away to mid-table side Royal Stoke on Sunday.

In Division Three, Cross Farm Park Celtic won 4-2 at home to Linden City, dominating much of the game and playing some slick football.

Attacking from the start, it wasn't long before a cross found Dave Chilcott in the box and he put them 1-0 ahead.

Cross Farm then forced a succession of corners and found the net from one, Chilcott heading home.

However, still pressing forward, they were caught on the break and Linden scored just before half-time to make it 2-1.

In the second half Cross Farm continued to attack with Lee Todd making some excellent runs from left midfield and his persistence paid of when his cross found Paul Matcham unmarked to make it 3-1.

Linden then had a spell of pressure which resulted in a shot going though the keeper's legs and cut the deficit.

However, Cross Farm always looked comfortable and put the game beyond reach when, from another good passing move, man of the match Chilcott arrived at the edge of the box and coolly slotted home for his-hat-trick.

In the same division, Bishops Lydeard won their derby at home to Milverton 4-2.

Milverton took an early lead but Lydeard pulled level through a Chris Nelson penalty and further goals from Keith Paul, Chris Collins and Ally Warren sealed the victory.

Division Four saw second-placed Periton Rangers lose for the second week running, Bagborough Rovers notching up their second win of the season with a 4-2 home success.

In the same division, West Somerset Wanderers saw off Carhampton Rovers with a 5-3 home victory.

Division Five saw Anthony Powis bag a hat-trick as Williton Rockets crushed Milverton Reserves 9-1 away, but there were no joy for Dunster, who lost 6-0 away to Old Inn.
