WRITER Jeff Cox and the Dovery Manor Museum Players will present an evening of inspiring tales of service and sacrifice made by the men and women of Porlock and the Vale during World War One.  

The illustrated tribute at 7.30pm in Porlock Village Hall on Thursday (November 1). Admission is £2.50, to include refreshments. 

It complements the project being undertaken by the museum, with the aid of a The Carriers for Causes scheme grant, to tell the stories of those men who died and register the names of every local man and woman who served, in whatever capacity.
