NETHER Stowey Twinning Association welcomed a group from its French twin village of Theillay over the weekend of November 11-14.
They were treated to a programme of events including a visit to the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton, shopping at Clarks Village in Street, a bonfire party and a yard of ale competition at the Stowey Brewery.
On the Sunday morning, the two youngest members of the group (pictured) laid a wreath at the Nether Stowey Remembrance Service - especially significant as it was the first anniversary of terrorist attack on the Bataclan Theatre in Paris murders.
Theillay is a village of similar size to Nether Stowey in the Loir-et-Cher department in central France.
“As usual, the event proved that we are all very similar and that language is no barrier to having a good time and entente cordiale,” said an association spokesman.
