ALMOST 80 copies of a new book, Circular Walks in Stogumber’, were sold at its launch on Saturday (May 26).
Parishioners, landowners and visitors supported the event and were treated to a celebratory glass of ‘fizz’ and nibbles or coffee and cake.
The book, compiled by Judith Bryant with the help of three parishioners, contains seven walks that start and finish in Stogumber and an eighth that incorporates the West Somerset Railway station.
Instructions are included, along with a clearly annotated map, and the walks are of varying lengths designed to suit all abilities.
Circular Walks in Stogumber costs £3 and can be bought at Central Stores, Stogumber, or the station.
The project has been enabled by CRASH (Church Restoration and Stogumber Heritage).
