Across England there were 13,621 people in hospital with Covid as of July 12, with 264 of them in mechanical ventilation beds.

The figures also show that 100 new Covid patients were admitted to hospital in Somerset NHS Foundation Trust in the week to July 10. This was up from 86 in the previous seven days.
