A scheme to encourage cafes, shops and public buildings to offer free water refills is coming to Somerset.
In a bid to cut down on plastic waste, Somerset Waste Partnership has agreed with the organisers of the national Refill scheme – which already has 10,000 Refill stations and backing from Water UK – to act as the hub for the county.
Businesses can sign up at www.refill.org.uk, contact Refill Somerset to get a sticker to display, and anyone wanting to refill their water bottle can download a free phone app which shows all the Refill stations nearby.
