A CLUB’S closure proved to have a silver lining for Watchet and the Quantocks Dementia Action Alliance.

The Monday Meeting Coffee Club had some money left in its charitable find, so it was decided to distribute it to various groups including the DAA which received £171 towards activities at the Forget Me Not Café.

The coffee club had transferred to the Esplanade Club when its venue, the town council building, was sold but now it has closed altogether.

And Watchet and the Quantocks DAA leader Margaret Tatham also received £50 for the café from Jim Lander who donated his fee after giving a talk to the Exeter Flotilla.
