Somebody was a busy bee creating 'Honey's Secret Garden' for Watchet's first scarecrow competition.

The event, sponsored by Watchet Task Force, saw a total of 32 scarecrows.

Organiser and judges Lori Lee and Ann Lewis were delighted with the turnout and said they would definitely do it again.

Entrants were asked to pay for a £1 entry form from the town’s visitor centre or from Albert’s ’Ardware and to then ‘place a funny scarecrow’ in their front garden.

The prizewinners will be announced at the Watchet Garden and Flower Show, which is being held on the town’s war memorial recreation ground on July 19.
