WARREN Knight made it two in a row when he retained the Championship Trophy at Minehead and West Somerset Golf Club at the weekend.
The 36-hole Club Championship and Tony Ridler Trophy were played for on Saturday and Sunday, with Warren taking the top prize and Bob Fossey the Tony Ridler Trophy.
Leaders after the first round in the club championship for the best gross score were M Nichols and K Murrell with rounds of 76, with four players three shots behind with 79s - Knight, P Clements, S Plenty and A Whiting.
K Babb and G Mason with 80s and Warren's brother Callum with 81 were also in with a chance on the second day.

Four players were a further shot behind - P Clements (79-10=69), S Heard (86-17=69), A Whiting (79-10=69) and G Mason (80-11=69).
First round scores for players who were to feature on the second day were, in 13th place, Bob Fossey (85-13=72) and in 25th place, A Dover (84-13=74).
The second day saw changing fortunes for all the players.
In the championship, the best player was Warren Knight with 74 and just a shot behind on 75 was brother Callum.
Four players then had 78s - A Dover, D Hillier, K Babb and D Oatridge 78.
Of Saturday's two leaders, M Nichols was 13th and K Murrell was 15th after both hit 82.
In the Tony Ridler Trophy, Bob Fossey came in with the best score of 79 less his 13 handicap for a nett 66, two ahead of A Dover (78-10=68).
Again four players shared the next placings - J Constable (80-11=69), J Malarkey (82-13=69), C Knight (75-6=69) and D Oatridge (78-9=69).
Other players whose second day performance kept them in contention for the overall prizes were A Whiting, 12th with 83-10=73 and N Grabham, 30th with 90-17=77.
After combining the scores from both days, the final Club Championship placings were: 1 W Knight 79+74=153, 2 C Knight 81+75=156, 3 K Babb 80+78=158, 4 M Nichols 76+82=158 (with 36 on the back 9) from 5 K Murrell 76 82=158 (with 43 on the back 9).
The final placings in the Tony Ridler Trophy were: 1 B Fossey 72+66=138, 2 N Grabham 66+73=139, 3 A Dover 74+68=142, 4 A Whiting 69+73=142, 5 M Nichols 68+74=142.
