VISIT Exmoor is on the look-out for a new chairman as the current post-holder, Andy Parsons, has decided to hand over the reins.

He has been either chairman or vice-chairman of the tourism support and promotion organisation for four years: “I feel now is a good time to make a change,” he said.

He added: “Visit Exmoor is in a very good place and is really punching above its weight as a destination management organisation.

“I would love it if somebody local to the Exmoor area would succeed me in this role and help to take it to the next level. I will, of course, be around to ensure a smooth transition and if anybody would like an informal chat about the role please contact me.”

Anyone who is interested, or knows of anyone that might be, should email [email protected] to arrange a time to talk.  Applications need to be made two weeks before the AGM on March 13.
