HOW many Santas can you get into a phonebox? At the first-ever Santa Dash through Porlock on Saturday, they managed four and a half - the Santa dog didn’t want to get involved. The dash was part of the village’s late night shopping event and ended with drinks all round at the Ship Inn. “It was just a bit of fun and added to the enjoyment of the night,” said organiser Chris Gladstone. “When someone wondered just how many could get into the box they couldn’t resist the challenge.” A full report of the shopping event and the annual Porlock Santa Festival will appear in next week’s Free Press.
