THE A358 at Bishops Lydeard will be closed to traffic for five nights next week while the final road surfacing on the new roundabout is completed.
Starting on Monday (May 15) the road will be closed from 7pm until 7am each night, although on Wednesday this will be delayed until 7.30pm.
That will allow West Somerset Railway passengers more time to leave the car park following the Antiques Roadshow event at Minehead Railway Station - the last train back is due to arrive at Bishops Lydeard at 6.45pm.
With the roundabout schemeRoundabout nearing completion, it is hoped that traffic control will be removed from the A358 before the visit of the Flying Scotsman to the West Somerset Railway on May 23.
The roundabout is being delivered by contractor S W H Civils on behalf of Taylor Wimpey as part of a legal agreement linked to the construction of new homes in the village.
