A RECORD sum of more than £2,800 was raised at Sampford Brett village fete held on Saturday (June 13) at The Old Rectory.
Enjoying a sunny afternoon, about 350 people attended the event organised by the Sampford Brett Activities Group.

Visitors enjoyed an array of stalls and live entertainment which included performances by the Taunton Ukulele Strummers, violinist Sebastian Tesuro, and guitarist Peter Krigsman.
Activities group treasurer Jan Swan said: “A huge thank you to everybody who contributed to and supported the fete, which raised over £2,800 - a fantastic outcome and our best ever.
“We could not have done it without our loyal army of helpers and supporters.”
The money raised will go to the church, village hall, and other community organisations.
