CARHAMPTON Gardening Club’s annual flower and produce show on Saturday September 1 saw entries lower overall than in recent years with several classes not having any exhibits, but the quality was high and made for a good show.

Jacky Fletcher won the Allotment Trophy after her inaugural success last year, having already come first in the section two years ago before a trophy was awarded.
Greta Thrush presented the cups.
The club expressed thanks to judges John Keal for fruit and vegetables, Chris and Judy Yates flowers; Jan Ellis flower arrangements, Fiona Plumstead preserves, Pauline Davis cookery; Sarah Williams photography and handicrafts and Jim Moon wines.
