I would like to congratulate and thank Minehead Town Council for the wonderful display of flowers in the beds, borders and hanging baskets in Minehead this year, such an excellent selection of varieties of plants and beautiful colour combination, all maintained to a high standard.

Having worked in tourism for 20 years, some of those years in Minehead, I know how much our visitors enjoy and in some ways expect our floral displays to be, this can only be a big plus for the town by ensuring those visitors return year on year.

I would also like to say well done to the town council on keeping the Co-op car park toilets so beautifully clean.

I would go further and say this is the first time in many years that these toilets have been so well kept and everything works, the hand dryers, the soap dispensers, and the sink taps. Keep it up.

My last thanks go to the town council for keeping the grass verges well maintained after the district council abandoned this service.

There is something to be said for our third, or is it fourth, tier of local government.

Well done Minehead Town Council, your work is very much appreciated by locals and visitors alike.
