DOZENS of homes and businesses in Minehead lost electricity supplies in the early hours of Thursday (July 30) when a fault developed on the underground low voltage network in the area.
About 40 properties off Periton Road suffered the outage shortly before 4.45 am.
National Grid Electricity Generation said more than half of the properties had been reconnected before 6.30 am.
However, it was unable to give a time by when supplies to the remaining homes would be restored.
A spokesperson said: “Our engineers are working hard to get power back on.
