PUPILS of Minehead Middle School have been celebrating the strongest set of key stage two (KS2) SATs results achieved there in seven years.

Headteacher Laura Mackie said it marked a significant milestone for students, staff, and the wider school community.

Ms Mackie said the exceptional outcomes were a testament to the ‘resilience, determination, and positive attitude’ of this year’s year six cohort.

She said throughout their school journey, the students had overcome challenges, embraced opportunities, and consistently demonstrated a commitment to doing their best.

The success reflected not only the hard work of the pupils but also the unwavering support of a ‘dedicated, caring, and hardworking staff team who are passionate about ensuring every child succeeds’.

Ms Mackie said the school was equally grateful to parents and carers for their continued encouragement and partnership throughout their children’s education.

She said “We are incredibly proud of our students and all that they have achieved.

“This cohort has shown exceptional character and perseverance, and they thoroughly deserve this success.

“While we are rightly celebrating this achievement, we remain ambitious for the future.

“We know there is more to do, more improvements to make, and even more success to come as we continue our journey of school improvement.”

Ms Mackie said the results represented not just academic outcomes, but also the confidence, character, and aspirations of students and demonstrated what can be achieved when determination, high expectations, and strong support come together.

She said: “As a school, we are proud of how far we have come and excited about what lies ahead.
