The Jonathan Hope Memorial Fund received a boost when a celebrity couple donated items for an auction to be held in the autumn.
Fund organisers had a real surprise last week when items arrived from England captain David Beckham and his wife Victoria.
Mr Beckham had dispatched a signed photo card while Posh sent a signed baseball cap from her range of fashion wear.
The fund was set up to raise money for the fight against skin cancer after young Yeovil man Jonathan Hope died from the illness last year.
His father and fund trustee, Alan Hope, said: "These really are treasured gifts and will be added to those already received. We are hoping to hold a casino night at Westland on October 11th, which will include a celebrity auction/raffle as well as entertainment from Elvis and Sinatra tribute acts.
"The evening should be a great taste of a Las Vegas-style casino night."
Mr Hope added that a collection held at a recent Yeovil Town game was a great success. The collection was held in conjunction with the football club and Orchard FM.
"We had a great day and a successful collection, and have yet to hear how much was raised for the fund," Mr Hope concluded.
