Porlock hosts music and entertainment and dashing Santas as festive season continuesBusinesses including bed and breakfasts, shops, pubs and restaurants joined in the fun, creating their own Santas on a fun theme and hoping they had a winner.
The festival was launched in conjunction with the annual late night shopping event on December 10 and visitors had a week to follow the Santa trail and vote for their favourite from the 20 entries.
The top slot went to Myrtle Cottage B&B and its Santa’s Bake Off Disaster.
The late night shopping also proved a huge success with visitors enjoying the festive atmosphere and the first ever Santa Dash, which saw a dozen villagers in Father Christmas suits race down the high street, rewarded with a pint at the Top Ship pub for their efforts.
