Dulverton residents were pleased to see the return of mounted police to the town.

The horses patrolled the town before visiting Hannover Court Care Home and Dulverton Junior School.

Also attending the town were two PCSOs and a police constable who distributed road safety leaflets.

The day of action was part of the ongoing Operation Landlike. The operation is a joint intuitive between Avon and Somerset Police, Devon and Cornwall Police and Crimestoppers.

It aims to deal with drink and drug driving and rural crimes in the Exmoor area.
