Police in Minehead are clamping down on drivers who park their cars on the zigzag lines in front of schools.
On Monday, officers issued three traffic Offence Reports to drivers who had parked their cars over the keep clear markings.
In a statement posted to social media, the police said: "We will be continuing to enforce parking offences around the schools in the West Somerset area.
"We are aware there are other schools having issues with parking so will continue proactive action to target these issues.
"Please remember the zigzags are there to keep your children safe so we ask that you are mindful of where you are parking when visiting the schools."
A Traffic Offence report can result in a fine being issued or prosecution brought depending on the seriousness of the incident.
It follows three such notices handed down to drivers last month outside of schools in Minehead.
Commenting, the police said: "All drivers were spoken to and the reason for the markings and dangers of parking there explained. We will be continuing to enforce parking offences around the schools."
The action was welcomed by many residents on social media, with one parent saying: "Well done. Now a few fines and stronger regular presence please. We are having to time our trips out and back home to avoid the dangerous parking around here."
