HOUSING developer Lovell has been given the green light to build 80 new homes in Cotford St Luke following unanimous approval on the site’s reserved matters planning application.

Situated off Dene Road, the £25 million, mixed development will consist of two, three and four-bedroom homes, including 60 properties available via open market sale and 20 affordable homes.

All 80 homes will be gas-free and benefit from air source heat pumps. The scheme will also deliver a minimum of 10 per cent biodiversity net gain (BNG), meaning that the development will have a positive impact on the area’s habitats, plants and wildlife

Alongside high-quality new homes, the development will feature public open space, allotments, play areas, foot paths and cycleways.

Construction work is due to start late-summer 2025 and complete mid-2027.
