PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, from licensing for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works.
Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities.
Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Somerset Council in Wellington:
Farm land to operating centre
Ian Moorcroft and Barbara Moorcroft trading as R & M Wholesale of Chelston House Farm, Wellington, Somerset TA21 9HP is applying for a licence to use the farm as an operating centre for 10 goods vehicles.
Dyers Farm apply for licence change
Stephen Sharland, trading as SJS Southwest LTD, of Treverdon Cottage, Norton Fitzwarren, Taunton Somerset, TA4 1BY is applying to change an existing licence to keep an extra four goods vehicles at the operating centre at Dyers Farm, Milverton, Somerset, TA4 1RG.
Licence for operating centre in Uffculme
Rain Nutrience Ltd of Unit 21 Flightway, Honiton, EX14 4RD is applying to change an existing licence to add an operating centre to keep two goods vehicles at Unit 5 Lucas Way, Hitchcocks Business Park, Uffculme, EX15 3FA.
Temporary road restrictions on A38
Somerset Council will be resurfacing roads around Wellington in the New Year in a rolling programme scheduled to last until March.
Work is due to start on Monday, January 5, at 6.30 pm on Wellington New Roundabout.
All surfacing works will take place in the evenings or overnight and is estimated to finish on March 23.
Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Somerset Council for the West Somerset and Exmoor areas:
Unsafe bridge causes bridleway closure
Exmoor National Park Authority intend to close a public bridleway in Dunster for six months due to an unsafe bridge.
The closure is being made because of the likelihood of danger to the public using the public bridleway WL7/9.
Walkers and cyclists will be prohibited from using part of public bridleway WL7/9 between SS 9776 4303 and SS 9760 4319.
The order will come into force on December 19 and will remain for six months.
Temporary road closure near Clayhanger
The road heading North East from Bonny Cross, clayhanger will be closed for a maximum of 18 months.
The closure will begin on January 5 and is anticipated to finish on January 26.
The temporary road restriction is enforced so a new water main can be installed which will replace the three inch asbestos water main.
