Peter worked at the school for 30 years after he joined in 1987 as a teacher, later becoming deputy head, then head from 1994.

A special end of term ‘leavers performance’ on July 20 marked not only the end of the year four children’s time at Dunster First School, but a goodbye to Peter and also Sarah.

“It has been wonderful to be part of such a great school for so many years and a pleasure to work with so many inspirational children, families, governors and colleagues,” said Peter.

“I have many, many lovely memories and I will always look back on my time at Dunster First School as a very special part of my life. "
