Somerset County Training (SCT) recently held its annual award night at Westland Sports and Social Club in Yeovil.
SCT provides vocational training programmes for young people and adults, and works in partnership with local businesses and other organisations to increase opportunities for students looking for work.
The organisation come under the auspices of Somerset County Council and this particular event was to celebrate the achievements of students in the Yeovil and Frome areas.
A total of 250 people attended the awards night, about 100 of them being students having gained qualifications or reached certain targets in the last year.
Actor Trevor Peacock was the evening's guest speaker and also handed out the certificates.
SCT business manager (Yeovil and Frome) Peter Daye said: "We are delighted to welcome so many of our successful learners to celebrate their excellent achievements. It is a pleasure to see individuals progress and develop onto a further stage of their lifelong learning process."
