A CHRISTMAS treat for customers at Crumpy's Café in Minehead resulted in a £400 boost for St Margaret's Somerset Hospice.
Pete Crump, whose café is in Mart Road, laid on a free buffet for invited customers on December 22 and organised a raffle during the 'party'.
For their part, the guests donated to the hospice and last week a cheque for £400, including proceeds of the raffle, was presented by Pete to Kay Cheeseman, of the hospice.
Pete said: "Everyone could need the hospice at some time in their lives, so it seemed a good cause to support - and we all had a good time as well."
