OLYMPIC torchbearer David Middleton shared his experiences with youngsters in Williton after receiving a plea from one local schoolboy.
Ethan Carr, a year four pupil at St Peter's First School, wrote to David asking him to visit the school to meet his friends.
And teenager David, who lives in Washford, had no hesitation in taking up the invitation this week.
David, a keen triathlete whose dream is to one day represent his country at the Olympics, carried the torch through Knowle near Barnstaple when it made its journey through the West Country - including West Somerset - in May.
