AS many as 13 garden owners will be opening their gates to the public in Old Cleeve on Monday (May 27) to support St Andrew’s Church funds.
As usual, there will be a number of scarecrows around the village to welcome visitors, all of whom will have a chance to win £50 in National Garden tokens to improve their own home patch.
The garden tokens can be won by guessing the value of coins in a large whisky bottle. The value of the contents will go to the Alcombe Food Cupboard.
Children can bring their teddies to parachute from St Andrew’s Church tower at 3.30pm, and live music will be played in the church and Community Hall.
Light lunches and refreshments will be available while stalls will be selling plants, crafts, books, toys and preserves.
The gardens are open from 11am to 5pm. Admission is £5 per person; accompanied children free. There is free parking and parking for the disabled.
